As image, motion and sound are regular and intrinsic disciplines for all Tropists, it is no surprise we love to make dance films and music videos.

Paradishee - pinhole film
Experimental music video made by Robin Noorda in collaboration with Bethany de Forest for the musician and composer Phantom Frank. All imagery is made by a self developed VIDEO-CAMERA-OBSCURA, a real time pinhole video camera with no lens but only a laser drilled hole in front of the sensor of 0,3 micron. The sensor is partly infra red sensitive and this results in a sepia image with blue sky. It shows us the perception of a flea on the foot of a woman on a bicycle in Amsterdam. 2006.

Flora Magica
Body-paint dance film. Choreography: Susanne Ohmann, director: Robin Noorda.
A visitor of a botanic garden falls asleep on a bench. After closing time she wakes up. The woman gradually changes in colour and texture until she, camouflaged as a forest nymph, is completely assimilated by the greenery, and is only visible when she moves.
Part of the 2013 Photosynthesis exhibition.

Fata Morgana Planetaria
3D stereoscopic music video for Phantom Frank by Robin Noorda.
The stereo illusion works according to the Pulfrich phenomenon. The effect arises from the fact that dimming a stimulus with a neutral density filter slows signal conduction velocity between the eye and the cortex. The visual cortex interprets this as a false depth or disparity cue as the object appears in a different location in the two eyes.
To experience the stereo illusion, hold any ordinary grey filter for the right eye only. 2006
